Frederick “Fritz” A. Henderson , Chairman, President and CEO

Fritz Henderson joined Sunoco Inc.’s leadership team in 2010 to steer SunCoke’s separation from Sunoco and led SunCoke through its initial public offering. In addition to serving as Chairman, President and CEO of SunCoke Energy, Inc. (NYSE: SXC), Henderson is Chairman, President and CEO of its master limited partnership, SunCoke Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: SXCP).

Prior to joining SunCoke, Henderson served in several leadership positions at General Motors, including COO, CFO and President and CEO. During his tenure as CEO he stabilized operations, reorganized management and developed a restructuring plan that contributed to GM’s emerging from U.S. bankruptcy in 2009 in an unprecedented 40-day period. He began his career with the global automaker in 1984 in its corporate treasury office.

Henderson serves on the Board of Directors of Marriott International and is a trustee of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. He is also a member of The Commercial Club of Chicago and The Economic Club of Chicago.

Henderson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Katherine Gates , Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
SunCoke Energy, Inc.

Katherine Gates joined SunCoke in February 2013 as Senior Health, Environment and Safety (HES) Counsel. She was promoted to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in July 2014. Ms. Gates began her legal career in private practice as a partner at Beveridge & Diamond, P.C., where she served on the firm’s Management Committee. During her tenure at the firm, Ms. Gates worked with SunCoke for approximately two years in a secondment arrangement prior to joining the Company.

Ms. Gates received a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York-College at Geneseo. She also clerked for the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

P. Michael “Mike” Hardesty , Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Business Development, Terminals and International Coke
SunCoke Energy, Inc.

Mike Hardesty joined SunCoke Energy, Inc. in 2011 as Senior Vice President, Sales and Commercial Operations, and has more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry.

Before joining SunCoke, Hardesty served as Senior Vice President for International Coal Group, Inc. (ICG), where he was responsible for leading the sales and marketing functions and was a key member of the executive management team.

Prior to ICG, Hardesty served as Vice President of Commercial Optimization at Arch Coal, where he developed and executed trade strategies, optimized production output and directed coal purchasing activities.

Hardesty received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. He is a past board member and Secretary-Treasurer of the Putnam County Development Authority in West Virginia.

Fay West , Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
SunCoke Energy, Inc.

Fay West was appointed to Senior Vice President and CFO of SunCoke Energy, Inc. in 2014. Previously, she was Vice President and Controller, a position she held since joining the company in 2011.

Before joining SunCoke, West was Assistant Controller at United Continental Holdings, Inc. Prior to that role, she served as in several leadership roles at PepsiAmericas, Inc., including Vice President of Accounting and Financial Reporting, and Director of Financial Reporting. Prior to joining PepsiAmericas, Inc., West was Vice President and Controller of GATX Rail Company.

West is a certified public accountant (CPA) and received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from DePaul University.

Gary Yeaw , Senior Vice President, Human Resources
SunCoke Energy, Inc.

Gary Yeaw leads the human resources function and is responsible for the key organizational activities at SunCoke Energy. Prior to SunCoke, he was executive vice president of Human Resources and Communications for Chemtura Corporation. Gary also served as vice president of Human Resources for American Standard Companies, as well as vice president of Human Resources Operational Excellence in charge of global benefit programs, labor relations, HR systems and employee services.

Gary earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance at the University of South Florida and completed the Human Resources Executive Management Program at the University of Michigan. He holds professional designations as a Senior Human Resources Professional, Certified Compensation Professional and was a charter member of the International Society of Employee Benefits Specialists.
